SO_IT_Kubernetes_Operations_SME

This role involves providing IT infrastructure and application operations for Manufacturing (i4.0) IT applications. Key responsibilities include container-based application deployments, configurations, hotfix installations, and troubleshooting incidents. The engineer will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and network teams, onboard new applications, perform migrations, monitor system performance, and ensure customer satisfaction while working in shifts and providing on-call support.

Must Have

• Provide IT infrastructure & Application operations for Manufacturing (i4.0) IT applications.
• Perform Container based Application Deployments, Configurations and Hotfix installations.
• Troubleshoot Manufacturing IT Application and infrastructure related incidents.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and network teams for daily support.
• Onboard Manufacturing IT applications and implement plant-specific configurations.
• Perform Application and infrastructure Migrations.
• Ensure quality service delivery as per defined Service Levels and KPIs.
• Monitor system performance and ensure Application availability.
• Provide extended support for planned Maintenances and On Call readiness.
• Work in shifts and travel to customer locations as needed.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes core concepts, Containerization, and Docker.
• Proficiency in Linux CLI and understanding of system components.
• Scripting skills (Bash and YAML).
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/Rancher for orchestration.
• Ability to resolve critical technical issues in Kubernetes projects.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps tools (Ansible/ Terraform/ Jenkins/ Argo CD).
• Familiarity with ITIL Service Management Framework.

Good to Have

• Experience with monitoring tools (ICINGA / Grafana / ELK).
• Working experience in Rancher.
• Knowledge of Network infrastructure (VPN, IPsec, Firewall, Load balancing, Security).
• Database Administration skills (Oracle / MySQL / Mongo).
• Understanding of IoT / IT for Manufacturing - i4.0 concepts.
• Working knowledge of various tools and open-source technologies.
• ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation certification.

What you will be doing

• Provide IT infrastructure & Application operations for Manufacturing (i4.0) IT applications

• Close collaboration with Application development team, infrastructure team and Network team to provide day-to-day operations support for the application
• Onboarding Manufacturing IT application and implementing manufacturing plant specific configurations

• Quality delivery of services committed to the customer as per the defined Service Levels and KPI’s
• Monitor system performance and ensure Application availability
• Collaboration with onsite /offshore team and customer coordinators, Stakeholders Management, Technical documentation, and Training delivery
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction, Escalation Management in the Services Delivered and Continuous improvement of services
