SOC MANAGER
The SOC Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the Security Operations Center within the Global Managed Services organization. This role will oversee daily operations, manage security analysts, coordinate incident response activities, and ensure continuous improvement of security monitoring capabilities. The SOC Manager will report directly to the Group Managed Services VP and CTO and will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Service Delivery Managers, and the Global Security Practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the SOC team to deliver world-class managed security services across multiple clients and technologies.
- Oversee incident detection, triage, response, and recovery in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Define and maintain SOC processes, playbooks, KPIs, and escalation procedures.
- Coordinate with the Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure integrated and consistent threat management.
- Contribute to the design and continuous enhancement of security monitoring tools, automation, and reporting frameworks.
- Manage relationships with customers, ensuring effective communication during and after security incidents.
- Support pre-sales and service delivery teams in defining security SLAs, reporting standards, and managed detection and response (MDR) offerings.
- Monitor SOC performance metrics and report regularly to senior management on operational efficiency and threat trends.
- Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to continuously strengthen the SOC’s capabilities.
- Build and maintain a robust governance structure, including creating and reviewing policies, control assessments, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), audit oversight, and regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, coordinating responses, tracking findings, and ensuring timely remediation of identified gaps to maintain continuous compliance.
- Effectively use and manage Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools such as OneTrust, Dastra, or ServiceNow to streamline processes and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with executives, the CISO, and cross-functional teams to communicate audit findings and compliance metrics, reinforcing a culture of security and trust.
- Contribute to and potentially lead aspects of third-party compliance, including vendor assessments and customer trust initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a SOC or MSSP environment.
- Strong technical background in SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Proven experience in managing multi-customer or multi-region security operations.
- Excellent knowledge of industry frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK,ITIL).
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across international environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent) are a strong plus.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Fluency in English required.
- The role may require periodic travel within EMEA, depending on customer and operational requirements. The candidate should be based in Barcelona (Spain).
