Software Development Manager

CSG is expanding its teams in Brazil, focusing on delivering new features for its cloud-based digital BSS Ascendon Platform. This role is for a Software Development Manager to lead development teams in a dynamic agile environment. The manager will champion continuous learning, accountability, and team empowerment, ensuring adherence to industry-leading practices for automated testing and continuous integration. The position requires guiding teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, enterprise-grade products with a pragmatic approach to quality and technological excellence.

Must Have

• Lead software development teams, including mentoring and performance management
• Develop operational plans aligned with functional strategies and corporate standards
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, and Architecture
• Lead delivery execution, address cross-team challenges and resolve dependencies
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and security policies
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of managerial experience in software development
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
• Basic understanding of AI technologies and their application in software development
• Budget management and strategic planning capabilities
• Experience with Agile project management, software development lifecycle, and risk management
• Experience building and leading engineering teams
• Experience working in a global or distributed team environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a CLT contract position
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
