Position Overview
Partner with Autodesk’s Americas Water Product Specialist Team to assist new sales growth in our Water space, focused on being a technical resource. Translate customer business issues into technical solutions by applying practical experience, in-depth Water industry knowledge, and innovative thinking. Engagements will require important skills such as industry experience, vision, account strategy, knowledge of the sales process, and understanding of Autodesk’s tools and how customers will receive value.
You will be remotely based and report to the Head of Americas Sales (Water).
Responsibilities
Evaluate customers’ strategies and deliver knowledge on how Autodesk’s Water offerings can align with their goals
Be the primary Water technology expert in the account team(s) you work with, who bring leadership to customer planning, the customer engagement process, and sales content curation
Build the technical business case for Autodesk’s Water solutions
Position Autodesk’s Water technology as the solution to customer business issues
Guide the technical discovery process to uncover business and present discovery findings and solutions to our customers
Technical relationship management and collaboration with other internal subject matter experts to provide the proper knowledge to the customer
Find and develop advocates within the account to influence the success of Autodesk's overall solution set
Demonstrate expertise to the customers and Water industry we serve to differentiate Autodesk through our vision to become a partner of theirs
Collaborate with our Channel Partners and Customer Success teams
Deliver compelling presentations and messaging that achieve results from the executive level down
Communicate Autodesk's competitive positioning in the Water space
Stay up to date with industry and global trends and develop new ideas to achieve revenue growth
Influence Water’s product development and product direction through customer feedback and identified business opportunities
Engage and contribute to the account planning process
Align with customer decision-makers to secure technical closure of the proposed solutions
Develop and deliver proposals and demonstrations which relate to customer's business issues
Understand, position, and sell Autodesk's unique Water value in sales situations
Capture metrics for quantifying and justifying the customer's return on investment to support the impact on the customer's goals and outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field
5+ years' experience in the Water/Wastewater space
Technical knowledge of Autodesk’s Water solutions such as InfoWorks ICM, XPSWMM, InfoSewer/SWMM, InfoWater Pro, InfoAsset Planner, and Info360 Asset - strong knowledge of wastewater-specific tools a must
Travel up to 25% (air and car travel) to customers and Autodesk-sponsored events
