Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will manage site-specific commodities, negotiate with suppliers, optimize prices, and interface with regional teams. Responsibilities include managing site-specific commodities, negotiating prices and terms, acting as the first escalation point for Supply Chain issues, clarifying price discrepancies, identifying and onboarding new suppliers, seeking cost savings, serving as the interface between the Sourcing regional team and on-site functions, entering price offers into the MRP system, managing documentation, and preparing analyses and purchase reports. Wabtec is a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree (Economics is a plus)
4+ years of experience in a similar role
Professional English and Polish proficiency
Good proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Negotiation skills and analytical approach

Good to have:

German language proficiency

We are currently looking for our future Sourcing Specialist who will be based in Kąty Wrocławskie, Poland.

How will you make a difference?

As a Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for managing site-specific commodities, negotiating with suppliers, optimizing prices and interfacing with regional teams.

What will your typical day look like?

Managing site-specific commodities
Negotiating prices and terms of purchase with both domestic and foreign suppliers
Acting as the first escalation point for troubleshooting after the Supply Chain team.
Clarifying price discrepancies with suppliers
Identifying and onboarding new suppliers to optimize pricing
Actively seeking opportunities for cost savings
Serving as the interface between the Sourcing regional team and other on-site functions
Entering price offers into the MRP system
Managing documentation
Preparing analyses and purchase reports

What do we want to know from you?

Bachelor degree (in Economics is considered a plus)
+4 years of experience in a similar position and in a production company
Professional English and Polish (German is considered a plus)
Good proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Negotiations skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
