Description
We are seeking an Assistant HR Director to provide both operational and strategic support to the People Operations Director in Warsaw, managing day-to-day HR operations and delivering to our people agenda. This role will oversee HR administration, compliance, and general HR operations. The Assistant HR Director will coordinate HR policies and processes, support the HR operations team, and represent the People Operations Director when required.
This position is ideal an experienced HR generalist, who enjoys a fast paced and dynamic environment, where every day is different. You will need to straddle operational and strategic HR in this role, translating strategy into local application.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and develop initiatives for employee groups with respect to staff development, compensation, benefits/wellness, and performance management issues
- Supervise HR Administration team and operational payroll/transactions specialists, including guiding staff through the job offer and employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Drive process improvement and workflow improvements in this department.
- To work with the People Operations Director in assessing organizational needs, developing aligned HR solutions and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, performance management and promotion.
- To manage and analyse employee relations in the Warsaw office, overseeing discipline and grievance cases, and working with the employee representatives to understand workforce needs.
- Manage employee initiatives, including employee surveys, increasing employee engagement with effective communications.
- Analyze key departmental metrics including turnover, recruitment, and employee engagement to identify trends, activities and potential issues within assigned work units
- Conduct a wholesale review of the local employee benefit offering, including budget preparation, vendor management and employee wellbeing initiatives.
- Support the annual HR audit, ensuring that all reporting obligations and statutory requirements are met.
- To design and promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, that promote the Testronic culture and recognise the diverse needs of all employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or Occupational Psychology.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with some international experience, including significant exposure to HR operations / administration.
- Strong working knowledge of Polish labour law, payroll, and HR systems, where knowledge of Bamboo HR would be advantageous.
- Experience managing small teams of managers and administrators.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, high attention to detail.
- Fluent in Polish and English.
