As International HR Manager at Veltmeijer Group, you will report to the CFO, be part of the MT, and lead a young HR team of 4 people. You will work a minimum of 4 days a week at the head office in Echt. You will professionalize a growing and innovative organization by developing a strong talent pipeline, strengthening leadership, and creating a healthy, safe, and results-oriented work environment across all countries. HR plays a crucial role in the organization's growth, from workforce planning and leadership development to culture, HR compliance, and payroll governance. You will optimize and digitize all HR processes, bridging IT, people, and organization.
Must Have
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience
- Several years of experience in a leadership role
- Experience with implementing HR systems and process optimization
- Experience with Works Council (OR) and European Works Council (EOR) negotiations
- Experience with payroll, scheduling systems, HR analytics, and LMS
- Strong people management skills, process- and results-oriented
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to work at the office in Echt (Limburg) at least four days a week

Your role as International HR Manager:
As International HR Manager at the Veltmeijer Group, you will report to the CFO, be part of the MT, and lead a young HR team of 4 people, working a minimum of 4 days a week at the head office in Echt. You will have the opportunity to further professionalize a growing and innovative organization.
You will build a future-proof organization by developing a strong talent pipeline, strengthening leadership in operations and MT, and creating a healthy, safe, and results-oriented work environment within all countries of the Veltmeijer Group. HR plays a crucial role in the growth of the organization: from workforce planning and leadership development to culture, HR compliance, and payroll governance.
You are a people manager who also gets energy from improving systems and processes, being responsible for optimizing and digitizing all HR processes, and you know how to bridge the gap between IT, people, and organization.
In this operational and tactical role, you are part of the MT, work closely with the management team, and contribute to a healthy, efficient, and future-proof HR department. You will have plenty of room for your own initiative and impact, in a dynamic environment where hospitality, entrepreneurship, and development are central.
Our preference is for someone with management experience, preferably in an international HR environment, experience in all facets of HR, including Works Council (OR) and European Works Council (EOR) negotiations, and affinity and/or experience with automating and optimizing HR processes.
What your activities will be:
- Leading the HR team;
- Strengthening local and international HR professionalism and driving (inter)national HR improvement projects;
- Ultimately responsible for developing and safeguarding operational and strategic HR policy in the Netherlands and internationally;
- Optimizing and digitizing HR processes (e.g., on-boarding, contracts, time registration);
- Implementing and managing HR systems (ADP, ATS, time registration);
- Ensuring correct and timely payroll and personnel administration;
- Improving recruitment, employer branding, and talent development;
- Setting up and executing L&D programs;
- Advising MT and management on HR-related issues;
- Monitoring compliance, labor law, and personnel policy;
- Providing input for annual plans;
- Building structural HR management information;
- Part of the MT;
- Sparring partner and advisor for management and board;
- Actively contributing to organizational growth, professionalization, and scalability.
Job Requirements
What you bring:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, including several years in a leadership role;
- Experience with implementing HR systems and process optimization;
- International HR experience is a plus;
- Experience with Works Council (OR) and European Works Council (EOR) negotiations;
- Affinity with IT and digitalization;
- Strong people manager, but also process- and results-oriented;
- Experience in a dynamic, operational HR environment (preferably retail, hospitality, or entertainment);
- Experience with payroll, scheduling systems, HR analytics, and LMS;
- Hands-on mentality, assertive, and independent;
- Good communication skills, both in Dutch and English;
- Willingness to work at the office in Echt (Limburg) at least four days a week.
