Job Summary
As Sr. Manager, Global Business Performance, you will deliver key insights and recommendations to eBay's leadership team by collaborating with cross-divisional teams and leveraging large datasets. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining performance deep dive tools, reporting on performance weekly, monthly, and quarterly, and communicating a clear outlook of eBay’s performance. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills to continuously improve and challenge the status quo.
Must Have

- 7+ years of experience in a similar analytical role
- Proven ability to structure and tackle complex analytical problems
- Proven track record of influencing cross-functional partners and driving insights into action
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical competence with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
- Dedicated to working the Hybrid model with 3 days per week onsite at San Jose, CA

About The Role:
As Sr. Manager, Global Business Performance, you will help the Global Business Performance Team in delivering key insights and recommendations to eBay CEO, CFO and leadership team! You will collaborate with multiple cross division teams and use one of the world’s largest datasets in order to communicate a clear and summarized outlook of eBay’s performance!
You are responsible for creating and maintaining performance deep dives tools, report on performance weekly/monthly & quarterly with exposure to eBay finance leadership team.
We are looking for an individual with a strong motivation to continuously improve and challenge the status quo. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding analytical and communication skills, and an ability to break down sophisticated problems with creative solutions.
This role reports to the Head of Global Business Performance.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Deliver business performance reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence, providing clear insights into key drivers and trends.
- Develop and improve analytical tools that allow for rapid, data-driven performance assessments.
- Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring timely business actions.
- Lead ad-hoc analytics and cross-functional initiatives to address critical business questions.
- Model eBay’s future outlook using sophisticated analytics and scenario modeling.
- Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Analytics, and Product teams to lead complex analytical projects and provide actionable recommendations.
- Streamline reporting and processes by identifying automation opportunities that save time and reduce non-value-added work.
What You Will Bring:
- Dedicated to working the Hybrid model with 3 days per week onsite at our corporate headquarters.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar analytical role — ideally within Finance, Analytics, Strategy, Engineering, or Product Management.
- Proven ability to structure and tackle complex analytical problems using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Proven track record of influencing cross-functional partners and driving insights into action.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of translating sophisticated analyses into clear, impactful narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical competence with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or Business).
- Familiarity with statistical modeling, forecasting, or machine learning concepts.
- Experience developing automated reporting and data visualization dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Experience with SQL or relational databases highly preferred.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$162,000 - $216,300
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
