Job Summary
Mistplay is the #1 loyalty app for mobile gamers, rewarding users for discovering and playing new games. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Ad Strategy and Analytics team in Asia. This role involves leveraging data to enhance business performance through strategic insights and data products, working closely with Commercial, Marketing, and User Acquisition teams to drive optimizations and enable data-driven decisions.
Must Have
- Explore, analyze and synthesize data to drive strategy.
- Leverage expertise in quantitative modelling and data pipelines to optimize operations.
- Enhance decision-making processes by developing Business Intelligence dashboards and reports.
- Continuously improve by making educated hypotheses and validating their value.
- Connect business functions and technical stakeholders, voicing business concerns to engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in tech or data-rich industry.
- Practical knowledge of SQL, Python, BI tools and Statistics.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of impacting business decisions.
Good to Have
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Experience with Machine Learning.

At Mistplay, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Ad Strategy and Analytics team in Asia. This role plays a crucial part in leveraging data to enhance our business performance through strategic insights and data products. That person will work in partnership with our Commercial, Marketing, and User Acquisition (UA) teams cross functionally.
What you'll do at Mistplay:
- Unlocking Insights: Explore, analyze and synthesize data to drive our strategy.
- Drive Optimizations: Leverage your expertise in quantitative modelling and data pipelines to optimize our operations.
- Enabling Data-Driven Decisions: Enhance the decision-making processes of our stakeholders by developing Business Intelligence dashboards and reports.
- Work with the right tools: we have a modern tech stack, extensive datasets and the support to grow.
- Experiment & Innovate: You’re curious and seek to continuously improve. You make educated hypotheses and validate their value along the way.
- Collaborate: Living at the intersection of the business functions and the technical stakeholders, you will connect the dots for many. You’ll voice business concerns to (data) engineering and help various stakeholders understand complex concepts.
Contribute to projects similar to those our team has recently delivered:
- Conduct comprehensive deep-dive analyses for the top APAC games to diagnose performance root causes and shape strategic direction. Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for internal and client-facing presentations, including QBRs.
- Collaborate with the global Analytics team to design and build interactive dashboards and revenue trackers, providing the APAC team with real-time visibility into key performance trends and insights.
- Alerting systems: Proactively identify issues with statistical tools and recommend solutions
- User persona: Clustering and regression modelling to drive UA & Product roadmaps
- User LTV: Model the Lifetime Value of users, enabling “full-impact” measurements from decisions
- Campaign Optimization: Collaborating with AMs and Ad Strategists to formulate effective scaling strategies that increase client revenue.
- Develop comprehensive explorations for the company's top executives and senior leadership team in APAC.
What you bring to Mistplay:
- 5-7 years of experience in the tech or other data-rich industry, bringing expertise in data science, analytics, or business intelligence roles.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline will be advantageous.
- Practical knowledge of SQL, Python, BI tools and Statistics. Experience with Machine Learning is considered an asset.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts and analyses to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proven track record of impacting business decisions.
