Job Summary
Mistplay is seeking a Legal Program Manager to oversee its global marketing and sweepstakes compliance programs. This role involves drafting and approving legal materials, green-lighting marketing campaigns, developing compliance training, and designing operational workflows. The manager will also maintain corporate records and support other legal projects as needed, working closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Must Have
- Own the drafting and/or approval of legal and compliance materials
- Green-light marketing campaigns, sweepstakes, and contests
- Build and deliver training that makes our teams compliance-savvy
- Design and deploy tech solutions and operational workflows that make compliance seamless and scalable
- Keep our legal house in order by building systems to organize and maintain corporate records, legal docs, and files
- Support legal team colleagues and the business on other projects as needed
- Exceptional organization, writing, communication, and project management skills
- Deep understanding of marketing and advertising compliance and/or sweepstakes and gaming compliance
Good to Have
- Legal or compliance certifications are a plus
- Experience in ad-tech (publisher side) or mobile gaming
- Comfortable using AI tools thoughtfully to work smarter and faster
- Have a “can do” attitude and don’t wait around for perfect instructions
- Don’t take yourself too seriously and can laugh when things get chaotic
- Open to occasional travel (about 10% of the time)

Mistplay is hiring a Legal Program Manager to support its marketing and sweepstakes compliance programs. Reporting to Mistplay’s Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for day to day management of the global marketing and sweepstakes compliance program, partnering closely with our marketing, product, and engineering teams. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support these programs with limited supervision. The ideal candidate has a steep learning curve, has exceptional organization, writing, communication, and project management skills, and has the ability to work independently and directly with business teams. A deep understanding of at least one of the following substantive areas is required: (1) marketing and advertising compliance and/or (2) sweepstakes and gaming compliance.
What You'll Do at Mistplay:
- Own the drafting and/or approval of legal and compliance materials, including, for example, marketing materials, sweepstakes and contest rules, consumer notices, and corporate policies.
- Green-light marketing campaigns, sweepstakes, and contests by ensuring they’re compliant, on-brand, and ready to launch.
- Build and deliver training that makes our teams compliance-savvy, empowering them to move fast without breaking things.
- Design and deploy tech solutions and operational workflows that make compliance seamless and scalable. Drive operational excellence by building smarter workflows, leveraging tech and knowledge management to help the team scale without sacrificing quality.
- Keep our legal house in order by building systems to organize and maintain corporate records, legal docs, and files as we grow.
- Be willing to lean in to support your legal team colleagues and the business on other projects as needed, including, for example, litigation, M&A, privacy compliance initiatives —working alongside our legal team members when things get interesting.
What You'll Bring to Mistplay:
- Bachelor’s degree and the curiosity to keep learning. Legal or compliance certifications are a plus but not required. We care more about what you can do.
- 5+ years working with legal and compliance teams in the trenches of consumer-facing tech, supporting the teams that build, market, and ship products. Bonus points if you’ve lived in ad-tech (publisher side) or mobile gaming and understand how fast these industries move.
- You’re exceptionally organized and can communicate complex legal stuff in plain English.
- You thrive working with people and can keep up in a fast-paced, and always evolving environment where priorities shift and things move quickly.
- You’re comfortable using AI tools thoughtfully to work smarter and faster. You see them as productivity boosters, not replacements for critical thinking.
- You have a “can do” attitude and don’t wait around for perfect instructions. You thrive on figuring things out and getting stuff done.
- You don’t take yourself too seriously and can laugh when things get chaotic (because they will).
