Staff Engineer Unit Process Development

Perform or guide Process development activities (Process parameters scouting, optimization, verification and Process Freeze) in Development projects to meet the project targets in term of timeline, quality, cost competitive and manufacturability. Key responsibilities include technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation, generating and updating relevant documents, supporting prototype and development samples build, providing inputs for updating related documents, liaising with suppliers for continuous improvement, and leading task forces for complex problem solving using statistical and analytical tools.

Must Have

• Perform/guide process development activities.
• Meet project targets for timeline, quality, cost.

• Generate and update process documents (PFMEA, DFMEA, PDR).
• Support prototype and development samples.
• Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and qualification.
• Lead problem-solving using statistical/analytical tools.
• Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in semiconductor manufacturing or relevant industry.
• Strong hands-on skills in assembly/chemical area.
• Knowledge of material science and chemical engineering.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis and design of experiment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job description

Perform or guide Process development activities (Process parameters scouting, optimization, verification and Process Freeze) in Development projects to meet the project targets in term of timeline, quality, cost competitive and manufacturability.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible or support for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation.
• Generate and update relevant documents, (Process Specification, PFMEA,DFMEA, Master FMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR).
• Support prototype and development samples build.
• Provide inputs for updating of related documents and is responsible for their correct contents, (Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, Unit process roadmap for development projects).
• Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines and materials in Development projects.
• Be the technical lead for task force and complex problem solving team using Statistical and analytical tools, (SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, DFMEA).

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant course.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry or others relevant industry.
• Strong hands-on knowledge and skills in assembly/chemical area.
• Material science and chemical engineering know how.
• Statistical data analysis including design of experiment.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
