Job Description

We are looking for a skilled 3D Environment Artist to create stylized environments, hard surface assets, and weapons. You will be responsible for creating high-poly and low-poly models, UV mapping, texture baking, and texturing. Experience with Zbrush, Max/Maya/Blender, Substance Painter, and UnrealEngine 4 or Unity is required.
Good To Have:
  • Ability to assemble assets into a scene in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, etc)
  • Skills in the creation of materials in Substance Designer
  • Rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, etc
Must Have:
  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets on given concepts
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.)
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Intermediate English level and above

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Create high-poly in Zbrush and low-poly models in Max/Maya/Blender of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets;
  • Be able to fully follow concepts and given style, correctly interpret them;
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Create stylized textures in Substance Painter and hand-painted texturing;
  • Have a good understanding of the modular system for asset creation;
  • Create tiles and trims and work with multiple UV channels.
