Job Summary

Room 8 Studio seeks a Senior Stylized 3D Environment Artist to create visually striking and immersive game worlds. Responsibilities include high-poly and low-poly modeling of stylized environments, weapons, and hard-surface assets in ZBrush, Maya/Max/Blender; UV mapping and texture baking; stylized texturing in Substance Painter or through hand-painting; assembling assets in game engines (Unreal Engine 4, Unity); and working with modular asset creation systems. Candidates should possess strong concept interpretation skills and proficiency in Substance Designer and rendering software (VRay, Arnold) is a plus.

We are looking for a talented and highly qualified 3D Stylized Environment Artist to bring unique and visually striking worlds to life! If you have experience and passion for creating immersive environments, hard surface assets, and weapons in a stylized aesthetic, we'd love to hear from you.

Superpowers
you have are

  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets on given concepts;
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush;
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender;
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing;
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
  • Good teamwork skills;
  • Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.

You’re a rockstar
if you have

  • Ability to assemble assets into a scene in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, etc);
  • Skills in the creation of materials in Substance Designer;
  • Rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, etc.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Create high-poly in Zbrush and low-poly models in Max/Maya/Blender of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets;
  • Be able to fully follow concepts and given style, correctly interpret them;
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Create stylized textures in Substance Painter and hand-painted texturing;
  • Have a good understanding of the modular system for asset creation;
  • Create tiles and trims and work with multiple UV channels.
