Job Description

The Sub-manager of External Sources reports hierarchically to the Data Management and must ensure that all actions and processes are aligned with the guidelines, policies, and objectives defined by the areas involved in the data lifecycle. They are responsible for ensuring that all external data sources delivered are correctly implemented, integrated, and maintained in the company's data Core. Additionally, they lead and develop the assigned team, promoting a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement. They communicate with all business areas to carry out projects established for the data strategy.
Good To Have:
  • Specialization in data management, projects, or related areas is desirable.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, preferably in digital transformation or data integration projects.
Must Have:
  • Coordinate and supervise the correct implementation and integration of new external data sources.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and quality requirements established by Data Management.
  • Collaborate closely with VP Data teams to receive, validate, and operationalize approved data sources.
  • Manage data ingestion and maintenance processes in the Core, ensuring information continuity and quality.
  • Guarantee compliance with operational and legal protocols in external data management.
  • Identify and resolve incidents or deviations in the integration and operation of external sources.
  • Collaborate with technology, business, and Data Office sub-areas for efficient data use.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics related to external source integration and management.
  • Propose and execute improvements in integration processes to optimize times, resources, and data quality.
  • Ensure the billing and usability process of external sources as determined in contractual negotiations.
  • Participate in projects involving new reporting schemes or defining new information masters.
  • Support strengthening relationships with existing data providers and notify anomalies.
  • Ensure continuity of external data sources: renewals, optimization (new projects), negotiation, and new uses.
  • Participate in and follow up on assigned projects: planning, business definitions, and budget assurance.
  • Perform risk evaluations and impact analysis on led processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational values and promote a respectful, inclusive, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the assigned team, setting clear objectives and fostering professional growth.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality, availability, security, and strategic use of data under their domain.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, information source integration, or similar roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the data ingestion and maintenance cycle.
  • Knowledge of Office, agile methodologies, Bureau, Regulatory Habeas Data, Data Protection, Information Exchange, JIRA, Confluence.

Job Description

Purpose / Scope of the position: The Sub-manager of External Sources hierarchically reports to the Data Management and must ensure that all their actions and processes are aligned with the guidelines, policies, and objectives defined by the areas involved in the data lifecycle. They are responsible for ensuring that all external data sources delivered are correctly implemented, integrated, and maintained in the company's data Core. Additionally, they lead and develop the assigned team, promoting a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement. They communicate with all business areas to carry out the projects established for the data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the correct implementation and integration of new external data sources, ensuring compliance with the technical, regulatory, and quality requirements established by Data Management.
  • Work closely with the VP Data teams to receive, validate, and operationalize the approved data sources.
  • Manage data ingestion and maintenance processes in the Core, ensuring the continuity and quality of the information.
  • Guarantee compliance with operational and legal protocols in the management of external data, including documentation and traceability of processes.
  • Identify and resolve incidents or deviations in the integration and operation of external sources, coordinating continuous improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with technology, business, and Data Office sub-areas to facilitate the efficient use of integrated data and support product evolution.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics related to the integration and management of external sources, informing Data Management in a timely manner.
  • Propose and execute improvements in integration processes, seeking to optimize times, resources, and data quality.
  • Ensure the billing and usability process of external sources determined in contractual negotiations.
  • Participate in projects that involve new reporting schemes or in defining new information masters, being involved in defining requirements and evaluating fields with other business areas.
  • Support the strengthening of relationships with existing data providers and notify the responsible areas when possible anomalous situations affecting the contractual relationship are detected.
  • Ensure the continuity of external data sources: renewals, optimization (new projects), negotiation, and new uses.
  • Participate and follow up on assigned projects: project planning, business definitions, and assurance of the assigned budget.
  • Perform risk evaluations and impact analysis on the led processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational values and promote a respectful, inclusive, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the assigned team, establishing clear objectives, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality, availability, security, and strategic use of data under their domain, exercising authority over the processes that generate or transform them, and ensuring their alignment with data governance policies and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Professional in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related careers. Desirable specialization in data management, projects, or related areas.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, information source integration, or similar roles in technology, financial services, or consulting companies. Comprehensive understanding of the data ingestion and maintenance cycle. Management of providers or entities for obtaining information developing new businesses. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, preferably in contexts of digital transformation or data integration projects.
  • Knowledge: Office, agile methodologies. Bureau, Regulatory Habeas Data, Data Protection, Office, Information Exchange, JIRA, Confluence, other applications.
  • Key competencies: Detail orientation and standard compliance, Operational management and problem solving, Collaborative work and effective communication, Adaptability and continuous improvement, Technical knowledge in data integration and management.
  • Skills: Teamwork ability and interaction with other teams, Ability to translate technical data concepts into business data concepts, Quality in decision making, Ability to simplify and go into detail when necessary, Planning and organization ability, External customer orientation, Anticipate solutions and needs, Initiative and achievement orientation, Excellent organizational skills, Adaptability to change.
