Your daily life
Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest surface radar centers of excellence. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.
The position is based in Limours (site 40 min from Paris, 20 min from Massy and accessible via our network of free shuttles from Massy, Pont de Sèvres, Vélizy, Versailles, Saint Quentin en Yvelines).
Within the Radar Department of the Ground Master Radar (GMR) sector, you will join a dynamic and versatile System Engineering team, responsible for designing and developing future surveillance radar products and evolving existing products by understanding a constantly changing client context.
You will join a Development team for a new radar whose technical and calendar objectives are very ambitious. You will be responsible for the supply of 2 'physical' radars capable of being physically controlled up to emission and reporting their status via radar supervision.
This lot has a strong connotation of HW development up to environmental qualification with the establishment of the supply chain for Production, to which is added a much more software-oriented lot, which is the development of supervision.
You will manage the Engineering and development activities of your lot, end-to-end with subcontracting management, in interaction with the Project System Engineering teams, Hardware and Software Development, and also with the Integration and Production teams.
The EDM (Engineering Delivery Manager) of the Physical lot for the Development of this new Radar will have the following missions:
- Coordinate internal engineering activities for the Physical lot to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
- Set up coordination/technical instances as needed with the engineering teams involved in the lot (supervision / Hardware sub-assembly / Logistics / industrialization / Antenna)
- Manage issues raised during subcontractor development reviews.
- Coordinate (with IVVQM) supervision development consistent with the developments of the radar's physical sub-assemblies.
- Validate all sub-assembly specifications. Verify proper response to system allocations.
- Ensure coordination with other lots, including the System lot, on engineering activities.
- Consolidate qualification proofs for the System Specification allocated to the lot's scope (environmental/EMC qualification).
- Apply methods for optimizing the development cycle, particularly Lean co-engineering methods.
- Interact daily with the System's EDM and PDA, as well as the Physical lot's PM.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the documentation and configuration of the solution for your lot.
Your profile
Do you have at least 10 years of EDM/WPM experience in significant high-tech hardware developments with a subcontracting component?
Do you have technical knowledge of Systems composed of several hardware elements requiring numerous different skills/knowledge (antenna, transmission, reception, mechanics, electrical, thermal, Safety, EMC, ...)?
General knowledge of primary and secondary radar would be a plus!
Are you reactive, creative, autonomous, and rigorous, with the ability to analyze and synthesize?
Are you able to work in a team under tight deadlines?
Do you master English (reading, writing, speaking)?
Then this position is for you, don't hesitate and apply!
