Job Summary

We are looking for a Quest Designer to join our team and work on a large-scale Action-Adventure MMORPG built with Unreal Engine 5. You will design, implement, and test quests, create engaging dialogues, and ensure smooth quest integration into the game world. Responsibilities include designing and implementing quests, writing NPC dialogues, testing in Unreal Engine, collaborating with other designers and programmers, and maintaining quest documentation.

Must Have

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Quest Designer / Game Designer.
  • Experience with setting up quests or gameplay events in UE.
  • Solid understanding of logic systems (conditions, triggers, states).
  • Strong dialogue writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with bug tracking and documentation tools.
  • English proficiency for documentation and writing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

Good to Have

  • Experience working with scripts.
  • Knowledge of progression systems, balancing, and RPG/MMO design.
  • Experience in testing gameplay mechanics (QA background).
  • Understanding of MMO quest design principles and multi-stage quest chains.

Description

We are looking for a Quest Designer to join our team and work on a large-scale Action-Adventure MMORPG built with Unreal Engine 5. You will design, implement, and test quests, create engaging dialogues, and ensure smooth quest integration into the game world.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Quest Designer / Game Designer.
  • Experience with setting up quests or gameplay events in UE.
  • Solid understanding of logic systems (conditions, triggers, states).
  • Strong dialogue writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with bug tracking and documentation tools.
  • English — sufficient for reading documentation and writing texts. Ukrainian or Russian would be a huge plus.

Tools and Software:

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement quests and gameplay events (conditions, branching, triggers).
  • Write and edit NPC dialogues, including branching scenarios and player choices.
  • Test and polish quests directly in Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate with narrative designers, level designers, and programmers.
  • Maintain clear and structured quest documentation.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with scripts.
  • Knowledge of progression systems, balancing, and RPG/MMO design.
  • Experience in testing gameplay mechanics (QA background).
