This is us

The team consists of 12 people, both technical writers and illustrators. We have different work experiences, nationalities, genders, and ages, which enrich our team with different perspectives. We have a lot of focus days, group learning sessions, and group activities. Many of us also like to hang out after work, so the team often arranges after-work and other activities where everyone is invited. All these together, have contributed to our great team spirit.

Our mission

Electric and automated vehicles are a large part of the transition, and new technology places high demands on the information provided to users. The information for drivers and workshops needs to be digitalized, correct, and updated. We, therefore, want to elevate our information to meet tomorrow's technical platforms and channels, and to do that, we want to develop the information from classic text and images into image-driven, interactive information that quickly and reliably meets the needs of the target group in every situation.

Your assignment

As a Technical illustrator within our team, your main task will be to create and maintain technical illustrations. In collaboration with, among others, the technical writers, method engineers, and spare parts editors, you create information for Scania's aftermarket, especially workshops. You will work a lot with CAD documentation but also photographs and drawings etc. to produce illustrations and animations, that are easy to understand. We use several production tools with an emphasis on IsoDraw, Adobe Creative Suite, and Catia V5 (CAD). Today, we mainly produce line drawings, but you will have the chance to be involved in the development of Scania's information to meet tomorrow's technical platforms and channels. This involves evaluating different graphic formats and developing methods to manage and publish these effectively. In this position, you will therefore collaborate cross-functional; with colleagues, other departments, and suppliers.

To succeed in this role we believe that you are goal-oriented, proactive, and have a natural interest in technology as well as information design. You can easily make contact with other people and are a good listener. You are pedagogically inclined and passionate about describing and clarifying difficult technical contexts in an easy-to-understand way and making the information work in multiple contexts.

We would also like that..

• You have education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• You write and speak fluently in English. If you write and speak fluently in Swedish, it is a merit.
  
  
  

Previous experience of working with digital CAD documentation as well as experience in automotive engineering is a merit.
