Telnyx is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead global IT and Security operations, ensuring business continuity, operational excellence, and compliance within a high-performance technical environment. This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO, taking ownership of worldwide IT infrastructure, security frameworks, and internal systems. The manager will drive strategy, enhance operational maturity, and lead a distributed team focused on resilience, automation, and security at scale, contributing to Telnyx's vision of borderless connectivity.

Must Have:

Lead and scale global IT and Security Operations teams.
Own and evolve security and compliance strategy (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, PCI).
Oversee global IT systems for reliability, scalability, and security.
Monitor and improve application compliance.
Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Introduce new tools, processes, and best practices.
Ensure service excellence for internal technical support (Level 3).
Develop performance metrics and reporting.
7+ years in IT Operations, Security, or Technical Infrastructure, 3+ years in leadership.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
Proven experience managing global teams and complex distributed environments.
Strong technical knowledge across Linux, Python, Microservices, Nginx, RabbitMQ, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Graylog, Docker, Kubernetes.
Expertise in compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, PCI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, hands-on approach with strategic ability.
Proven record of implementing scalable systems and processes.
Comfortable being on-call for critical issues.

The Role

Telnyx is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead our global IT and Security operations, ensuring business continuity, operational excellence, and compliance across a rapidly evolving, high-performance technical environment.

As the senior leader of IT, you’ll report directly to the CEO and take ownership of the company’s IT infrastructure, security frameworks, and internal systems worldwide. You’ll drive strategy, elevate operational maturity, and lead a distributed team focused on resilience, automation, and security at scale.

What You’ll Do

Lead and scale the IT and Security Operations teams globally, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.
Own and evolve the security and compliance strategy, maintaining adherence to frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI.
Oversee global IT systems supporting distributed teams and high-availability environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
Monitor and improve application compliance, proactively identifying gaps and collaborating with Product Owners to drive continuous improvement.
Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust response and recovery capabilities.
Introduce new tools, processes, and best practices to streamline operations and enhance security posture.
Ensure service excellence across internal technical support (Level 3), delivering timely and effective solutions to critical escalations.
Develop performance metrics and reporting for both internal leadership and external audits.

What You’ll Bring

7+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, Security, or Technical Infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
Proven experience managing global teams and complex distributed environments.
Strong technical knowledge across Linux, Python, Microservices, Nginx, RabbitMQ, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Graylog, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Expertise in compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, PCI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business strategy.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to zoom out strategically when needed.
Proven record of implementing scalable systems and processes that improve performance and reduce risk.
Comfortable being on-call for critical issues outside of standard hours when necessary.
