Job Description

NXP Semiconductors is seeking Technicians for its ICN8 factory in Nijmegen, Europe's largest chip factory. The role involves working in a cleanroom, primarily in the WET and FURN sections of Area 3. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical system malfunctions, resolving process and machine-related issues, and performing preventive maintenance. The position requires a disciplined, results-oriented individual with good analytical skills and a basic knowledge of English, willing to undergo 1.5 to 2 years of training.

For ICN 8 we are looking for Technicians.

Within NXP ICN8 there are 4 production Areas. Each Area consists of several departments (sections). Two of these sections are WET and FURN which fall under Area 3, and we have the vacancy available here.

Within these sections, operators work in 5 shifts. In addition, technicians work in 5 shifts and 2 shifts respectively, and engineers work in these sections during the day. Operators, technicians and engineers all work in the cleanroom of ICN8, and work intensively together.

The 5-shift technicians are responsible for solving malfunctions in electrical and mechanical components of the systems in the assigned section. In addition, you must be able to simultaneously solve process and machine-related malfunctions. Preventive maintenance is also part of your duties. The work will be carried out where possible according to procedures, flow diagrams or checklists with the aim of high equipment availability.

You will first be trained in the 2-shift service by the most experienced technicians and engineers. This training will start with performing preventive maintenance, and then you will receive training in solving electrical or mechanical malfunctions on the systems.

The training will take approximately 1.5 to 2 years.
