Vimeo is seeking an experienced Interim Regional People Partner for a 3-month maternity cover in London. This hands-on role involves managing day-to-day People operations for the UK team, acting as the primary HR contact. Responsibilities include employee relations, compliance with UK law, manager guidance on HR matters, and supporting global HR processes. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless and supportive experience for employees and managers during this interim period.
Must have:
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from UK employees and managers.
  • Guide and resolve employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle employee onboarding, conducting right-to-work checks, and processing relevant documentation.
  • Partner with line managers to provide expert, pragmatic advice and coaching on a range of people matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all ER cases and other key interactions are properly documented.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on, generalist HR experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of UK employment law, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience working in the tech industry is highly preferred.
  • A CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a contractor or in an interim role is a plus.

Job Details

Vimeo is looking for an experienced and highly capable Interim Regional People Partner to provide essential support and continuity for a 3-month period, covering a maternity leave in our London office. This is a crucial, hands-on role for an HR professional who can step in, hit the ground running, and manage the day-to-day People operations for our UK-based team.You will act as the primary point of contact for our employees and managers, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience. Your focus will be on maintaining compliance, managing employee relations, and providing pragmatic guidance to help our teams thrive during this interim period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Support: Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from UK employees and managers. You will guide and resolve employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases, ensuring all actions are compliant with UK law and company policy.
  • Compliance & Administration: Ensure full compliance with all local employment laws and regulations. This includes handling employee onboarding, conducting right-to-work checks, and processing relevant documentation. You'll also support the UK's benefits administration, addressing employee questions and liaising with the global benefits team as needed.
  • Manager Guidance: Partner with line managers to provide expert, pragmatic advice and coaching on a range of people matters. This includes managing sickness, absence, and performance, as well as providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Global Process Support: Support the UK-based implementation of existing global HR processes, including talent development and engagement initiatives, in collaboration with the wider People team.
  • Data & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all ER cases and other key interactions are properly documented.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of hands-on, generalist HR experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations within a fast-paced environment. Experience working in the tech industry is highly preferred.
  • UK Law: In-depth, practical knowledge of UK employment law, regulations, and best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. You should be a proactive self-starter who is comfortable working independently and can handle sensitive issues with discretion and empathy.
  • Certifications: A CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is preferred.
  • Contracting: Previous experience as a contractor or in an interim role is a plus.
