As UI Manager for a key product area in Candy Crush Soda Saga, you will lead a team of UI Designers in delivering beautiful, intuitive, and performant user interfaces. You'll shape the visual expression of features that drive engagement and monetization, from high-fidelity mockups to in-game implementation. Your leadership will ensure consistency, clarity, and delight across every screen, while enabling your team to craft high-quality solutions at scale.
Good To Have:
  • Experience designing UI for monetisation, economy, or live ops systems.
  • Knowledge of shaders, animation systems, or technical UI pipelines.
  • Background in visual design, illustration, or motion graphics.
Must Have:
  • Line manage and support a team of UI Designers.
  • Define and uphold the visual direction for UI in collaboration with the Creative Director and other design leads.
  • Guide your team through the full UI process — from translating UX into polished mockups to implementing final assets in-game.
  • Ensure visual design solutions meet player needs, business goals, and platform constraints.
  • Champion consistency, clarity, and usability in UI across a wide range of player journeys and feature sets.
  • Maintain and evolve visual design systems and reusable components in partnership with the broader design team.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, Game Design, Product, and Engineering to ensure smooth handoffs and high-quality implementation.
  • Coach your team to continually grow their craft, visual problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Drive best practices for UI design and workflow efficiency across tools, pipelines, and production processes.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing UI for mobile or live-service products.
  • Proven people leadership, with a track record of developing visual designers and supporting their growth.
  • Expertise in visual communication, layout, typography, motion, and responsive design principles.
  • Confidence in delivering polished mockups and seeing them through to in-game implementation.
  • Familiarity with Unity and/or equivalent game engines and workflows for implementing UI.
  • Strong eye for detail, consistency, and player-facing quality.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across creative and technical functions.
