Utility Seasonal

Televisa Univision is seeking a Utility for its Production Operations team to support live event production. This role involves assisting the Floor Manager with general studio functions, operating the teleprompter, managing cables, sets, and props, and ensuring communication equipment for talent is properly set up. The position requires 1-2 years of live studio broadcast experience and knowledge of studio hardware.

Must Have

• Operate teleprompter as needed
• Assist Floor Manager with cables, sets, props, and traffic
• Place microphones, IFB, and communication equipment on talent
• 1-2 years of experience with live studio broadcast
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of set monitors and essential studio hardware
• Must be willing to work from the Miami, Florida facility
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. of equipment and cables

Good to Have

• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for a Utility to join our team for our live event production. The Utility will also be tasked with assisting the Floor Manager with general studio functions including any needs that may arise on the floor.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Operate teleprompter as needed
• Assist the Floor Manager with cables, sets, props and traffic on the studio floor
• Place microphones, IFB, and other related communication equipment on talent and ensure that they are working properly
• Perform other related duties as assigned

YOU HAVE:

• 1-2 years of experience with live studio broadcast
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of set monitors and other essential studio hardware
• Comfortable with all aspects of the production
• Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as during tropical storms/hurricanes

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
