In this role, you’ll working closely with Producers, Creative Coordinator, Graphic Designer, and other team members to interpret creative briefs, storyboards, project goals and transform raw footage into polished content optimized for various platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. You’ll maintain an organized video library and ensure every edit reflects Team Liquid’s storytelling style and creative standards through thoughtful pacing, transitions, sound design, and visual effects that captivate and retain viewers.

Job Purpose
The Video Editor is tasked with transforming raw footage into compelling, high-quality video content that aligns with Team Liquid’s creative direction, storytelling standards, and brand voice. This role plays a key part in enhancing Team Liquid’s digital presence by producing engaging and visually consistent content across YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.
What You'll be Doing
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging video content optimized for different platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.).
- Ensure videos reflect Team Liquid’s tone, storytelling, and creative standards through precise pacing, transitions, sound design and visual effects.
- Create compelling visual narratives that maintain viewer engagement and retention.
- Work closely with Producers, Creative Coordinators, Graphic Designers and the Project Team to comprehend creative briefs, storyboards, and project goals.
- Maintain an organized library of video assets, project files, and version control systems to ensure efficient workflows.
- Ensure all deliverables are properly named, backed up, and archived for future reference.
- Stay updated with platform-specific technical requirements (aspect ratios, subtitles, thumbnail creation, compression standards, etc.).
- Contribute ideas for new content formats, editing styles, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Provide creative input during pre-production and brainstorming sessions to enhance storytelling impact.
- Ensure all video outputs meet high-quality standards in visuals, sound and pacing by following Team Liquid’s visual and creative guidelines.
- Tasked on post-launch review by providing insights on video performance and potential improvement areas.
What You'll Need
- Diploma degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 1+ years of experience in video editing, post-production, or content creation (preferably in gaming, esports, or entertainment).
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (familiarity with grading tools e.g., DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro and audio mixing techniques would be a plus).
- Strong comprehend of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition for both long-form and short-form content.
- Experience editing for YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms, with knowledge of best practices and trends (knowledge of YouTube performance data and social media metrics would be a plus).
- Familiarity with motion graphics, sound design, and color correction workflows (skilled in 3D animation, VFX, or advanced motion graphics using tools like Blender or Cinema 4D would be a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and adaptability in fast-paced creative environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams
