[VM/FC] Controlling Process Excellence - Data Analyst

The Vehicle Motion division of Bosch develops innovative components, systems, and functions in vehicle safety, steering, and dynamics. Our Controlling department in Japan handles financial topics, business planning, reporting, and financial analysis for key decisions. This role focuses on Controlling Process Excellence, Digitalization & Automation, Data Analysis & Insights, and Business Partnering. Responsibilities include standardizing processes, developing automated dashboards with Power BI/Microsoft Fabric, performing data analysis on volume, cost, sales, and margin trends, and collaborating with various teams to ensure transparency and alignment.

Must Have

• Support standardization and harmonization of controlling processes across East Asia.
• Optimize and continuously improve planning, reporting, and analysis workflows.
• Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within Controlling.
• Develop automated reporting dashboards and data models using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric.
• Ensure stable data pipelines and integration of digital tools.
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc analysis on volume, cost, sales, and margin trends.
• Perform data cleaning, consolidation, and quality checks for accurate reporting.
• Build analytical models to support variance explanation and operational insights.
• Collaborate with Sales Controlling, Plant Controlling, Operations, and regional/global teams.
• Communicate key findings in a clear and structured way to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong interest and basic skills in data analytics and digitalization.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Business-level Japanese & English required.

Good to Have

• Some experience in controlling, data analysis, or business analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, or Python.

Job Description

Controlling Process Excellence

• Support standardization and harmonization of controlling processes across East Asia.
• Document, optimize, and continuously improve planning, reporting, and analysis workflows.
• Ensure alignment with regional/global controlling standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to drive consistent controlling practices.

Digitalization & Automation

• Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within Controlling.
• Develop automated reporting dashboards and data models using tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, data analytics platform.
• Promote adoption of Power Apps, Power Automate, RPA, and other automation solutions.
• Work with IT and data teams to ensure stable data pipelines and integration of digital tools.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual tasks with automated, scalable solutions.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Prepare routine and ad-hoc analysis on volume, cost, sales, and margin trends.
• Perform data cleaning, consolidation, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
• Build analytical models to support variance explanation and operational insights.

Business Partnering & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales Controlling, Plant Controlling, Operations, and regional/global controlling teams.
• Share standardized reports, dashboards, and templates to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Communicate key findings in a clear and structured way to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
• Some experience in controlling, data analysis, or business analysis is preferred.
• Strong interest and basic skills in data analytics and digitalization.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, or Python is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Business-level Japanese & English required.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and controlling concepts.
