Job Description

The Account Executive at Salesforce will create, progress, and close opportunities for the full Salesforce Customer 360 platform within mid-market commercial accounts in New Zealand (200-2000 FTE). This role involves building trusted relationships with C-Suites, driving deals from first call to close, generating pipeline, and partnering with other AEs for customer success. The AE acts as the CEO of their territory, advising customers on Salesforce solutions to achieve business goals and increase revenue.

About the Position

The Account Executive creates, progresses and closes opportunities for the full platform of Salesforce products (our Customer 360). For customers, this will range from holistic business transformations to specific projects requiring single solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will establish relationships with entire C-Suites and partner with them for long-term success. As the primary owner of many customer relationships, you will drive deals from first call to close, effectively leading sophisticated deals throughout the entire sales process to order form signature. As a business development professional, you must be a driven individual who can generate a large amount of pipeline for the business within a short period of time. As a team leader, you will be passionate about our customers, partnering with other Salesforce Account Executives to drive new sales and success across all of your accounts.

Day to Day

For our Account Executives, no day is the same. You will sell our Salesforce Customer 360 platform into a variety of our mid - market commercial accounts in New Zealand (200 -2000 FTE). We will build trusted relationships with existing accounts to seek out and identify new opportunities. We will land new logos, driving Salesforce growth & further advancing our industry leadership as the #1 CRM provider. You will be running complex deals end-to-end, forecasting, prospecting, building strategy, attending roundtables & events, and taking point on urgent issues.

You will use your new business development and relationship building skills to develop and progress opportunities:

You are the CEO of your territory and book of business. You have autonomy on how you run your day.

Measured on results, not time at desk or office.

Advise customers on the Salesforce Platform and promoted solutions to help them achieve their business goals

Work with the supporting team and engage appropriate resources to lead the end to end sales process

Use your solution selling expertise to uncover customer challenges and to increase revenue by using Salesforce technology to solve customer problems

Regular customer cadence to manage and build high value, long-lasting relationships

Territory/Vertical identification and research to formalise a go-to-market strategy and build qualified target accounts.

Maintaining a long term perspective to maximise overall revenue generation while being able to generate short term results.

This is a brilliant role for a tenured Account Executive who has either had exposure to CxOs in commercial accounts or can demonstrate the gravitas needed to influence at this level. You will have carried a quota and worked toward sales targets.
