Job Description

Fortune Media is seeking a highly motivated, detail-driven, and results-oriented Associate Manager to join its Go-To-Market team. This role supports Fortune Sales in driving advertising and partnership revenue across all media platforms. The Associate Manager will be a major contributor in the pre-sales process, managing ideation through RFP completion and proposal submission, with the goal of meeting and exceeding revenue targets. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, crafting narrative research stories, analyzing the competitive landscape, and developing go-to-market strategies for new franchises and products.

Must Have:
  • Drive ad sales revenue by conceiving and communicating creative go-to-market solutions using Fortune's full portfolio of multiplatform assets.
  • Help manage the pre-sales process for marketing partnerships, including brainstorms, edit ideation, kickoff meetings, recaps, custom deck creation, and sales materials.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product and franchise launches, including competitive analysis, target audience definition, and value proposition development.
  • Deliver dynamic messages and communications, not simply decks and sell sheets.
  • Manage RFPs, custom programs/franchises, proposal decks, and general sales materials across diverse advertising categories and media platforms.
  • Critically analyze the competitive landscape and contribute to the crafting of compelling research stories in support of partnership proposals.
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful market entry for new products and initiatives.
  • 2-4 years in go-to-market, ad-sales marketing or product marketing within a media organization or agency.
  • Experience with various media platforms and ad categories.
  • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with a variety of disciplines, including Sales, Editorial, Product, and Account Management.
  • Highly organized, thorough, and thoughtful in managing projects from ideation to completion; excels at building efficiencies in dynamic environments.
  • Recognized for quick responses, producing excellent go-to-market materials and pitch decks, writing concise emails, and solving problems rapidly and clearly.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-driven, and results-oriented Associate Manager to join Fortune's Go-To-Market team. This position is dedicated to supporting Fortune Sales in driving advertising and partnership revenue across all media platforms, including digital media, conferences, print, social, and more.

You will work as a major contributor in the pre-sales process for ad-based marketing partnerships—managing everything from ideation through RFP completion and proposal submission—with the goal of meeting and exceeding revenue targets. The Associate Manager will collaborate closely with colleagues from Sales, Editorial, Account Management, Activation, Product, and FORTUNE Brand Studio, and will play a pivotal role in crafting narrative research stories, analyzing the competitive landscape, and developing go-to-market strategies for new franchises and products. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Go-To-Market, and requires working 5 days a week in the New York office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive ad sales revenue by conceiving and communicating creative go-to-market solutions using Fortune's full portfolio of multiplatform assets.
  • Help manage the pre-sales process for marketing partnerships, including brainstorms, edit ideation, kickoff meetings, recaps, custom deck creation, and sales materials.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product and franchise launches, including competitive analysis, target audience definition, and value proposition development.

Professional/Personal Qualifications

  • Relevant Work Experience: 2-4 years in go-to-market, ad-sales marketing or product marketing within a media organization or agency. Experience with various media platforms and ad categories strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Team Player: Innovative, professional, and resourceful self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills and a reputation for trustworthiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with a variety of disciplines, including Sales, Editorial, Product, and Account Management.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized, thorough, and thoughtful in managing projects from ideation to completion; excels at building efficiencies in dynamic environments.
  • Strong Communicator: Recognized for quick responses, producing excellent go-to-market materials and pitch decks, writing concise emails, and solving problems rapidly and clearly.

Total Compensation: Base Salary of $70,000.00 - $80,000.00

Location: This role will be based in NYC with 5 days/week in the office.
