Position Overview

As we expand our Enterprise Customer Success operations in Asia Pacific, we are looking for a creative and business-focused Business Development Executive, proficient in both Japanese and English languages to join our dynamic team. You will be based in Japan where Autodesk has a fantastic Tokyo office that can be used. The team enjoy working from this location to maximize opportunities for in-person collaboration. Autodesk has a flexible/hybrid working policy which also supports our people to work remotely from home. You will report directly to the Autodesk Senior Manager of Professional Services for Asia Pacific whom is based in Australia and work closely with the Autodesk Japan leadership. You will be responsible for leading the identification, qualification and creation of compelling Consulting Service proposals to secure strategic solution business.
You must be truly passionate about driving transformational customer outcomes and high-impact business. You are someone who has a talent for nurturing customer relationships and is comfortable engaging across all levels of the customer organization. You will bring experience in professional services sales and delivery, collaboration (internally and externally), and the ability to position services and solutions with measurable results/outcomes.
Responsibilities
Create opportunities for growth within customer/industry portfolios
Develop strategic, comprehensive business development plans to achieve growth and increase market share
Identify target markets, whitespace opportunities, develop leads and directly prospect into those accounts
Deliver business transformation program proposals with compelling customer value and outcomes, aligned with Autodesk offerings and capabilities
Develop customer sponsor and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels
Align with Business Development peers in other GEOs to ensure best practices and shared insights
Build and maintain relationships with main industry partners, clients, and team members. Relationship building is important in this role
You will engage with key stakeholders, maintain open lines of communication, and foster relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
Become a strategic business partner and subject matter expert for Sales and ECS leadership teams during pre-sales phases of the engagement
Support and align with sales, technical sales and business development responsibilities on account strategies and opportunities
Collaborate with other Autodesk ECS leaders to ensure the highest level of professional services for stakeholders worldwide
Interact with executives and major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to their organization
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant bachelor's degree or related education from an applicable field
Must have at least 10 years of hands-on experience working in or serving the AEC, Manufacturing or Automotive industries
Experience in Commercial and sales success
Understanding of customer and market dynamics: You will need to have a sound understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape in the industry
Travelling to meet with customers and Autodesk events is required and estimated to be 30% of the time
