Position Summary
As a Client Project Manager, you are responsible for collaborating with clients and internal teams to successfully lead and deliver implementation projects that span one or more business units. You will manage the overall project schedule, issues and risks, expenses against budget, and communicate project progress to stakeholders, internal or external clients, and senior management. We are looking for a Client Project Manager with strong leadership, excellent communication and "hands-on" project management skills, as well as an ability to motivate others through vision, strategic positioning, and leadership qualities.
Functions and Responsibilities
You provide a central point of contact for projects and assist in the development of projects from their initial conception to their final implementation. You facilitate the definition of project scope and objectives, and you coordinate all aspects of the project, planning and directing schedules as well as budgets. You must be able to work in a hybrid environment, using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You must possess strong skills in budget preparation as well as forecasting and tracking financial performance against budget.
Qualification and Skills
- Undergraduate university degree or equivalent experience
- More than 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years leading large-scale client implementation projects
- PMP Certification
- Experience in IT consulting/subcontracting or in one of the Big Four IT consulting firms is a plus!
- Experience in planning and implementing large-scale programs and projects involving procurement, software development, infrastructure, logistics, third-party vendors, on-site and off-site personnel, digital and mobile solutions using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in implementing digital software solutions
- Ability to travel and go on-site for client implementations (up to 30% of the time and mainly in the province of Quebec)
- Proven experience in successfully managing medium to large programs or projects
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as critical thinking required.
- High presentation, communication, leadership, collaboration, and human relations skills are required.
- Experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Practical professional experience in developing, creating, responding to, writing, contributing to, and reviewing requests for information, calls for tenders, proposals, proposal development, project cost estimation, project budgets, and project plans.
- Practical professional experience in managing programs or projects, from the request for information to launch, planning, execution, management and control, closure, post-commissioning support, and transfer to operations.

- Agile project management training and experience (certification is a plus!)
- Technical experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in software, infrastructure, digital, and mobile domains, with quality assurance and version management processes (an asset!)
- Advanced spoken and written French and English (the role may include communications with Headquarters in the United States)
