Job Description

ComeOn Group is a leading global player in the iGaming market, founded in 2008. As a Data Engineer, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining near real-time data streaming and batch data integrations for regulatory operational reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. This role involves building the backbone for regulatory reporting data and enabling teams to gain deeper insights and drive business growth. You will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines in a cloud environment, assure data quality, troubleshoot data feed issues, and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform.

Good To Have:

Academic degree in quantitative discipline
iGaming industry experience
SQL query writing and optimization
Airflow experience in GCP
Business analysis experience
Data warehousing experience

Must Have:

3+ years experience as Data Engineer
Experience in data integration/streaming/warehousing
Scala or Java programming
Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka
AWS or GCP data processing
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform)
Excellent spoken English

As our new data engineer, you will be involved in the design, development and maintenance of near real-time data streaming and batch data integrations for regulatory operational reporting, analytics and machine learning initiatives. This is a challenging role with huge growth potential as you will be helping to build the backbone where all our regulatory reporting data will flow through, as well as enabling our teams to gain deeper insights and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

Design, build and maintain robust, scalable and reliable batch and streaming data pipelines in cloud environment
Assure quality and consistency of data by implementing best practises of data engineering
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the data feeds
Assist, establish and maintain appropriate communication channels with business and technical teams in the context of company data assets
Work with all parts of the system and through all stages of the development process from analysis to release
Manage infrastructure using terraform and ensure efficient deployment of data services

About you:

Experienced data engineer with 3+ years in data integration / real time streaming / data warehousing
Excellent command of spoken English
Keen attention to detail and data qualityExperience in programming in Scala or Java
Experience in streaming big data sets with Spark, Flink, Kafka or similar
Experience with AWS or GCP Cloud data processing solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst interacting with a variety of different disciplines
Proven ability to prioritise and deal with problems systematically and provide clear communications regarding the issues, resolution times and solutions
Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and deployment tools like Gitlab Runners, Github Actions or similar

& then some nice to haves...

Hold an academic degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science or mathematics
Experience within the iGaming industry and / or regulatory aspect of iGaming would be considered an asset
Experience in SQL query writing and optimisation
Experience with Airflow in GCP environment
Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering
Experience with data warehousing will be considered an asset
