Job Description

The ZENITH Program is a major business transformation initiative at Thales, aiming to upgrade current ERP systems to S/4 by 2030 to meet future business demands and address software obsolescence. The project team is expected to grow significantly, with the first S/4 ERP wave planned for 2028. The Delivery Manager will support the ZENITH PMO Director in project structuring, strategy definition, implementation, and delivery, ensuring progress reporting, identifying deviations, and improving efficiency. They will also assist Value Stream Leaders and GBU/Country Project Managers in weekly project monitoring and provide proactive data analysis to stakeholders.
Good To Have:
  • Proven knowledge in complex Project Management methodology.

  • Knowledge of the Thales internal environment (GBUs & BLs, Countries, Transverse Functions).
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Must Have:
  • Support the ZENITH PMO Director in project structuring, strategy definition, implementation, and delivery.
  • Report on progress, update schedules, forecast completion, and identify deviations.
  • Support Value Stream Leaders and GBU/Country Project Managers in weekly project monitoring.
  • Advise the ZENITH PMO Director on the feasibility of strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate performance monitoring and control for the Program.
  • Proactively analyze Program data to answer key stakeholder questions, focusing on business performance factors.
  • Identify and communicate areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the ZENITH PMO Director in preparing meetings and deliverables for various routines (weekly, bi-monthly, quarterly).
  • Work closely with ZENITH Value Stream Leaders and GBU/Country Project Managers to understand and maintain focus on analytical needs.
  • Follow and update Program baseline evolutions, including consolidated planning, workload, KPIs, risk register, and progress monitoring.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience on large-scale multi-country multi-entity projects.
  • 2 years of experience as a PMO or working in a PMO team.
  • Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, POWERBI, MSProjects).
  • Knowledge of planning tools (Primavera or others).
  • Experience in complex transformation projects, preferably multi-entity, multi-country.
  • Experience in preparing internal reports for complex programs.
  • Strong capacity for action, willingness, and courage to take on challenges.
  • High resilience and ability to work under pressure.

Your daily life

By joining us in Meudon, you will be part of the Thales Group headquarters located on the banks of the Seine and organized as a true campus, bringing together our digital identity and security activities.

The ZENITH Program corresponds to the Thales Group Business Transformation Program planned for the end of 2030 via the upgrade of current ERP systems to an S/4 version, enabling it to meet Thales' business transformation requirements for the coming years and to address the obsolescence of several software programs by 2030. The Project team is estimated to be between 30 and 40 people by the end of 2025, with a peak workload of around 400 people by 2027.

A first wave of commissioning and transition to the new S/4 ERP is planned for 2028.

Your missions:

1. Support the ZENITH PMO Director in project structuring, strategy definition, implementation and DELIVERY, progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to completion, identification of deviations and opportunities for improvement.

2. Support Value Stream Leaders and GBU / Country Project Managers in weekly project progress monitoring. Advise the ZENITH PMO Director on the feasibility of strategic objectives.

3. Facilitate the monitoring and control of Program performance with the ZENITH PMO Director to increase efficiency.

4. Proactively analyze Program data to answer key stakeholder questions, with a focus on business performance factors, identifying and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.

5. Support the ZENITH PMO Director in preparing meetings and associated deliverables for the following activities:

  • Preparation of weekly routines with ZENITH Value Stream Leaders and preparation of weekly routines with GBU & Country Project Managers
  • Preparation of the ZENITH central team Steerco (bi-monthly – preparation included)
  • Preparation of ZENITH Business Councils (quarterly)
  • Preparation of ZENITH Program Conventions
  • Preparation of the SORARE process
  • The status and evolution of the Program in terms of Risk

6. Work closely with ZENITH Value Stream Leaders and GBU & Country Project Managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical indicators and KPIs, and providing actionable analyses to relevant decision-makers. In this context, you will monitor and update Program baseline evolutions through:

  • Development and maintenance of the consolidated program schedule and workload plan.
  • Development, maintenance, and weekly monitoring of consolidated KPIs.
  • Development, maintenance, and monthly monitoring of the consolidated risk register.
  • Maintenance and weekly monitoring of program progress.
  • Participation in ZENITH PMO team reviews to report on schedule updates, forecasts to completion, identification of deviations, and opportunities for improvement.

Your profile

  • 3 to 5 years of experience on large-scale multi-country multi-entity projects + 2 years of experience working as a PMO or in a PMO team.
  • You master Office suite tools (Excel, Powerpoint, POWERBI, MSProjects) and have knowledge of planning tools (Primavera or others).
  • You have experience in Complex Transformation Projects, preferably multi-entity, multi-country/entity.
  • You have experience in preparing internal reports for complex programs.

  • You have proven knowledge in complex Project Management methodology.

A word from the Manager

My PMO team will consist of a maximum of 3 to 7 people who will be responsible for managing the Program under the responsibility of the Program Director. As such, the PMO team will be permanently responsible for measuring program progress, anticipating and identifying potential deviations, and proposing corrective measures and actions.
