Job Description

Apple is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead groundbreaking Search initiatives for Siri Search and Apple products. This role involves developing novel capabilities to transform how people search and interact with devices, working in a fast-paced, innovative team to launch delightful experiences for over a billion customers. Responsibilities include building and managing project timelines, driving organizational alignment, managing risks, and providing clear communication to the executive team.
Good To Have:
  • Prior program management or engineering experience in search, computer vision, and/or natural language understanding.
Must Have:
  • Build and run project timelines with clear dependencies, critical path and systematic methodology to communicate status.
  • Handle risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant.
  • Drive alignment across the organization and between teams.
  • Drive consensus across multiple groups with varying opinions & needs.
  • Influence entire teams around a common purpose and drive conference on the plan of execution.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, close gaps with the ability to switch gears on projects in an agile manner.
  • Keep teams on critical path with efforts to minimize distractions.
  • Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and one-off reviews as needed to executive team.
  • 8+ years of experience in driving large scale program building machine learning powered products.
  • 3+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally working on machine-learning features and/or sophisticated backend and front-end systems.
  • Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities.
  • Strong desire to learn, aptitude for problem solving, and the ability to make sophisticated trade-offs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and ability to influence stakeholders.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employees also have the opportunity to become a shareholder through participation in discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
