Job Description

As a Field Sales Manager (FSM) at Google Cloud, you'll lead a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) selling to new and existing accounts. You'll build executive relationships, understand customer challenges and goals, and actively participate in business development, including sales attainment, planning, demand generation, and account-based marketing. You'll collaborate with Customer Engineers and Google Partners, leading customers through the entire sales cycle. Responsibilities include talent development, strategic account planning, and representing the territory in various company meetings. The role requires presenting at customer meetings and conferences, advocating for Google Cloud's products and customer needs.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience in Leadership, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Experience working with, and managing, cross-functional internal teams (e.g. Business Development, Customer Engineers, Partner Sales) and external partners in implementation projects and agreements.
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models while leading organizational transformations and delivering on results.

As a Field Sales Manager (FSM), you will manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) who sell to our new and existing accounts. You’ll leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner to deeply understand their unique company challenges and goals. You will participate actively in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high performing FSRs and build a growth culture. Focus on talent and skills development to exceed business goals for your territory and drive customer satisfaction.                 
  • Build executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction by understanding their technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to create new opportunities and lead customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Represent our territory in business planning, town halls, and team meetings, reporting accurate and timely forecasting and business performance.
  • Travel to, and present at, customer meetings, conferences, and other related events as needed, acting as an advocate for Google Cloud, our products, and our customers.
