We’re hiring a Jr. Internal Communications Specialist for a hybrid opportunity in Santa Monica, California with our client, a multinational company known for its energy drinks and ownership of a wide range of sports teams and events. This is a 3+ month opportunity. In this role, you'll support the Director of Internal Communications in executing strategic initiatives that foster transparency and employee trust. You’ll contribute to the planning and delivery of internal communications across multiple platforms, helping drive employee engagement and organizational alignment.
Jr. Internal Communications Specialist Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of comprehensive internal communication strategies including monthly branded newsletters, branded email communications, SharePoint web pages, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Draft communication plans and packages to support cross-functional strategic communication initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for communication initiatives.
- Support the Director, Internal Communications in the development and execution of all quarterly all-hands business updates to employees, employee engagement activations inclusive of event coordination, communication support, and overall planning.
- Manage the editorial calendar for internal communications, monitor the effectiveness of internal communication efforts by collecting success metrics and feedback to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
Jr. Internal Communications Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications or a related field, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), and SharePoint technologies.
