Job Description

Pentair is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for their Moorpark, CA team. This role involves safely installing, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment, utilizing preventative maintenance processes to minimize production interruptions. The technician will work with limited supervision, assist in training junior technicians, and participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems, and operating various maintenance tools.

Must Have:
  • Safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production.
  • Participate in LEAN activities, including but not limited to kaizens, RCCM, 5-whys, and A3s, to improve downtime trends and reduce cost.
  • Assist with the training and development of Junior Techs.
  • Improve skills and increase knowledge relating to the job.
  • Perform work with no supervision required.
  • Full ability to read and communicate in English.
  • Full ability to read mechanical blueprints.
  • Full ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience as a maintenance or industrial tech.
  • Intermediate to full ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with robotics, PLCs and other computer driven equipment and can troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Full ability to perform PMs, troubleshoot failures, and implement repairs.
  • Full ability to operate maintenance equipment including hand and power tools.
  • Full computer skills to use Smart Maintenance CMMS.
  • Successfully attended, passed, or demonstrated the equivalent knowledge or skill level of at least three of the following courses/certifications/licenses: DC/AC Electricity, high voltage paneling, or other electrical including an Electrician’s license; Manual or CNC machining or machinist apprenticeship; Welding; HVAC; PLC, controls, or mechatronics; Hydraulics/Pneumatics; Motors and Controls; AutoCAD; Injection Molding; Other pre-approved, job-related activity.
  • Full ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, twist at the waist, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lifting of 30 or more pounds consistently.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $30.00 - $36.00/hour, DOE. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers several factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering level of experience, skills, knowledge, training, pertinent education, including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

  • 1st Shift: staggered times based on needs (OT and weekends as needed)
