We're seeking a strategic and data-driven Product Manager to join our dedicated team. Reporting directly to the Executive Producer, this pivotal role involves analyzing gameplay data, identifying market trends, and setting effective value propositions to guide the development and success of our game. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for gaming to drive our product forward in the competitive online gaming landscape. Remote role working with Austin, TX based team.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize SQL, Tableau, and other tools to analyze gameplay data, track KPIs, and communicate findings to game development teams. Conduct ad-hoc analysis related to customer gameplay and spending behaviors.
    Strategic Decision Making: Recommend modifications to improve game KPIs, evaluate the performance of sales and product features, and manage monthly and yearly revenue targets. Identify and communicate any significant changes or trends that could impact game performance.
    Product Strategy and Positioning: Develop and refine product pricing and positioning strategies. Assess and adjust value propositions for virtual items and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
    Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to enhance data collection and analysis processes. Provide regular reports on game performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
    Innovation and Optimization: Advise on best practices for development and performance optimization. Collaborate with game teams to design compelling offers and promotions, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in product management within the gaming industry, with a strong preference for candidates with MMO and live service game experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Live Service, F2P models, and MS Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Data Science experience, and Python is desirable.
  • Strong background in data visualization, knowledge of price elasticity principles, and experience with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and to communicate complex data insights in an understandable manner.
