We are looking for a Project Art Director who will be responsible for producing and managing the co-development of high-quality game art content as well as in-game implementation.

The primary role of this position is to inspire excellence in project art production and elevate the quality of work performed by team members. It involves setting a bold vision and technical direction for the project. Additionally, it embraces the opportunity to attract and nurture new talents, aligned with our company goals and project aspirations.

Superpowers
you have are

  • 5+ years of experience as a Lead Artist, Project Lead or similar position;
  • Experience in the Art Direction 3+ years; at least one AAA or AA project released in this role;
  • Strong understanding of artistic and technical aspects of project art direction;
  • Ability to develop project style and artistic direction;
  • Art skills and hands-on ability – enough to support a team with quick placeholders and experimental assets, both 2D and 3D;
  • Ability to create paintovers and provide feedback;
  • Deep industry knowledge;
  • The ability to objectively evaluate the work of others and give constructive feedback;
  • Knowledge of English (Upper Intermediate);
  • Strategic thinking, constant self-development and the desire to develop the team;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Develop the visual target and quality bar for the project;
  • Estimate and plan the work on assets in different subdivisions;
  • Gather a proper team to achieve the project goals;
  • Communicate with the client to solve any technical and artistic issues;
  • Develop pipelines and documentation for project needs. Writing documentation and technical specifications;
  • Implement new project tools to improve team performance;
  • Participate in the recruitment process in collaboration with team leads and Sub-Division Directors of the subdivision;
  • Creation the “golden standard” assets to meet the quality requirements of the project;
  • Support the project during different stages of production and after release, if needed.
