Job Description

Onward Search is seeking a Project Manager for a 12-month contract, hybrid opportunity with a leading energy organization. This role involves overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring cross-team coordination, effective stakeholder communication, and adherence to project goals, quality, and compliance. The manager will integrate processes, support all project phases, and contribute to successful project delivery.

Must Have:
  • Lead and guide project teams, providing direction, oversight, and coordination.
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders and management through regular updates.
  • Develop and manage project scope, estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement, vendor selection, start-up, and commissioning plans.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
  • Champion integration processes and provide leadership across all project phases.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years PM experience).
  • Minimum 1 year of Project Management experience in Electrical Transmission.
  • Strong skills in decision-making, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost controls, and stakeholder management.

In this role, you will oversee and guide projects from start to finish, ensuring coordination across teams, clear communication with stakeholders, and adherence to project goals, quality standards, and compliance requirements. You’ll play a key role in integrating processes, supporting project phases, and helping to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide project teams, providing direction, oversight, and coordination across multiple internal and external groups (engineering, project controls, supply chain, construction management, etc.).
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders and management through regular meetings, reports, and updates.
  • Develop and manage project scope, estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement, vendor selection, start-up, and commissioning plans.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
  • Champion integration processes and provide leadership across all project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of Project Management experience in Electrical Transmission.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of Project Management experience in Electrical Transmission.
  • Strong skills in decision-making, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost controls, and stakeholder management.
  • PMP Certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of construction management (preferred).
  • Experience with risk management and collaboration in cross-functional teams (preferred).

Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
