Job Description

The Returns Specialist processes, inspects, and organizes returned products to ensure they meet company and international quality standards. This role involves managing return authorizations, performing part inspections, processing credits, and maintaining the returns area. The specialist supports quality assurance by analyzing returns, addressing customer concerns, and assisting with corrective actions to maintain high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Must Have:
  • Inspect and verify returned product and packaging condition to determine eligibility for restock and resale
  • Process credits as stated on Return Authorization paperwork in Link
  • Use Link to submit claims and/or action items to internal personnel
  • Identify and relabel mislabeled products using measurement tools
  • Handle, sort, and receive returns daily from UPS and FedEx
  • Log, stage, and prepare core returns for processing
  • Move processed returned products into Packaging areas for redistribution
  • Perform administrative duties including maintenance and organization of the returns area
  • 1+ years of experience working with product returns in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Experience with return authorizations and part inspections
  • Strong math skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets) and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a warehouse environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Full-time | Returns Specialist - Claims Dept. | Location – 16355 South Lone Elm Olathe, KS 66062

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30pm

Hourly Pay: Starting at $20 an hour (based on experience)

The Returns Specialist is responsible for processing, inspecting, and organizing returned products to ensure they meet company and international quality standards. This role involves managing return authorizations, performing part inspections, processing credits, and maintaining the returns area. The Returns Specialist supports quality assurance by analyzing returns, addressing customer concerns, and assisting with corrective actions to maintain high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect and verify returned product and packaging condition to determine eligibility for restock and resale.
  • Process credits as stated on Return Authorization paperwork in Link.
  • Use Link to submit claims and/or action items to internal personnel.
  • Identify and relabel mislabeled products using measurement tools.
  • Handle, sort, and receive returns daily from UPS and FedEx.
  • Log, stage, and prepare core returns for processing.
  • Move processed returned products into Packaging areas for redistribution.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintenance and organization of the returns area.
  • Contribute to the Returns Department Balance Scorecard goals.
  • Assist the Claims Department Manager with projects as required.

HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE

  • 1+ years of experience working with product returns in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
  • Experience with return authorizations and part inspections.
  • Strong math skills with technical ability to use measurement tools such as tape measures and micrometers (preferred).
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a warehouse environment that may include exposure to heat and cold.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
