Summary of Job: 

• Lead the accurate and timely recognition of revenue (subscription, licensing, in-game purchases, etc) per ASC 606 
• Participate in the month-end closing process by posting journal entries to the general ledger 
• Assist in the preparation of revenue schedules, forecasts, and KPIs 
• Oversee sales tax and VAT compliance across various jurisdictions, ensuring accurate reporting, filing, and remittance 
• Prepare financial statements and review for accuracy 
• Training and mentoring junior staff 
• Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations 
• Assist with financial and tax audits 
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit processes related to revenue recognition and tax obligations 
• Research GAAP/IFRS standards and recommend appropriate accounting treatment when needed 
• Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections 
• Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required 
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or working toward certification 
• 3+ years of diverse experience in accounting field, gaming industry preferred 
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, sales taxes, VAT regulations, and financial reporting 
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot-Tables, look-ups, etc.) 
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP or IFRS standards 
• Microsoft Dynamics GP and Sage Intacct experience a plus 
• ERP Implementation experience a plus 
• Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management 
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
