Job Description

Minor Hotels, a luxury hospitality operator, is establishing Finance Shared Services for its five hotels in Doha. This Senior Accounts Payable role involves checking financial documents, maintaining records, classifying data, preparing reports, and managing invoices. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel, strong accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Must Have:
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents.
  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a 5 star hotel.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, especially Excel

Job Description

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a 5 star hotel.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, especially Excel
