Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and adapting internal tools and systems to support Project Sirius, a game combining elements of The Witcher with multiplayer gameplay. Your responsibilities include maintaining the build system, managing CI/CD systems, optimizing pipelines, improving build performance, integrating new deployment processes, and maintaining automation and source control processes. You will work closely with the development team, providing Perforce support and creating documentation. The role requires proficiency in C#, experience in software development within the gaming industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Must have:
  • Proficient in C# backend development (ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+).
  • 5+ years experience in software development in gaming.
  • Experience in Entity Framework, LINQ.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Knowledge of Postgres or other RDBMS.
  • Experience using source control software.
  • Commitment to taking ownership and driving initiatives.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and excel under pressure.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Continuous integration concepts, centralized CI, Perforce.
  • Experience in containerization Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Knowledge of Eleasticsearch/MongoDB is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, security concepts, authentication.

Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer that will assist in developing and adapting our internal tools and systems limited to supporting Project Sirius — an original video game combining beloved aspects of The Witcher world with immersive multiplayer gameplay.

 You will cover day to day tools development, supporting code compilation and integration, improving builds performance and developing new features.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and improvement of the build system (in-house technology).
  • Developing and managing CI/CD systems.
  • Code compilation and integration.
  • Optimizing pipelines & processes.
  • Improving builds performance.
  • Working closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining various automation processes.
  • Maintaining source control branches and performing integrations with merge conflicts.
  • Providing Perforce support for the team.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of the build/release process.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in C# backend development (ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+, primarily .NET 8).
  • 5+ years experience in software development in gaming.
  • Experience in Entity Framework, LINQ.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Knowledge of Postgres or other RDBMS.
  • Experience using source control software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, and driving initiatives independently.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration, supporting colleagues, and achieving shared goals.
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, handle ambiguity, and excel under pressure.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Continuous integration concepts, centralized CI, Perforce.
  • Experience in containerization Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Knowledge of Eleasticsearch/MongoDB is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, security concepts, authentication.
