Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is on the lookout for a Senior Level Artist to join our studio and help bring to life Project Sirius. We’re searching for someone with strong skills in visual storytelling and a passion for creative world-building and how it interacts with game design and playability.
Daily Responsibilities
- Creating locations that provide the best player experience.
- Supporting evocative environmental storytelling through detailed and creative set dressing.
- Collaborating with the Art Director and Art Leads to maintain artistic consistency and the game’s visual vision while building immersive levels and scenes.
- Working with the tech art team to set up materials and shaders for high-quality visuals.
- Defining environmental effects for your locations.
- Collaborating with Level Designers, Quest, and Story teams to create unforgettable locations.
- Building locations that align with the technical specifications set by the Tech Art team.
- Adding finishing touches to locations and cutscenes using existing meshes and decals.
- Maintaining the production pipeline and meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Level Design or World Building in the game industry.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or similar game engines.
- Strong understanding of light, value, composition, color, set dressing, and environmental storytelling.
- Proven experience in world-building and its interaction with game design and player experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Open-World Building experience is a plus.
- US work authorization.
Preferred
- Strong artistic abilities, whether in traditional or digital media.
- Modeling experience.
- Experience in lighting for game environments.
- Familiarity with the technical requirements of current game consoles, including memory and performance considerations.
