Job Description

We are seeking a Level Artist to transform blockouts into immersive game environments using Unreal Engine 5. This role involves dressing up levels, sculpting landscapes, and collaborating with designers and artists to enhance scene quality. You will be constructing level spaces from pre-built assets to final visual quality, managing level collisions, and working with in-engine tools for PC and console action games.
Good To Have:
  • Previous experience in working on AAA games
  • Experience working with UE Blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of one of the 3D Software such as 3ds Max / Maya / Blender / to create additional blockouts of game assets or parts of the level.
  • Experience using Sequencer.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or another graphic editor.
  • Desire to learn new technologies and production techniques
  • Basic knowledge of Environment Lighting.
Must Have:
  • Constructing level spaces from pre-built assets to the final visual quality based on the provided blockouts and concepts
  • Set dressing and polishing in levels
  • Landscape sculpting and painting, foliage painting
  • Collaborating with Level Designers and the 3D Environment Art team, and providing suggestions for them with the Art Lead to improve assets and overall scene quality
  • Managing level collisions, working with in-engine and proprietary tools
  • 2+ years of experience working on a Level Artist position
  • Knowledge of the video game development pipeline
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and its tools for working with the environment (Landscape, Foliage, Modeling, Dressing)
  • An understanding of modular level construction
  • A portfolio showcasing complete levels or locations
  • Experience with set dressing and beautification of the scenes in levels
  • Great compositional skills, with an understanding of shape, form and proportion.

We’re on the hunt for a Level Artist who knows how to turn a blockout into something players won’t want to leave. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail, love building immersive environments, and know your way around Unreal Engine 5, you’ll fit right in. You’ll be dressing up levels, sculpting landscapes, and working side-by-side with designers and artists to make every scene pop.

We are unconventional creators of action games for

PC and consoles - extremely fun to work with and definitely not for the faint-hearted.

For over a decade, we pioneered the local game dev scene, driven by the ambition to become the

regional game dev leader.

On that quest, we pave our way with exciting games developed in Unreal Engine. Our latest released title, Scars Above, is a challenging and immersive 3rd-person sci-fi shooter set in a mysterious alien world. Currently, we’re developing Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival - a first-person action horror survival game based on the beloved franchise. Alongside that, we’re working on an unannounced AAA title set in a famous and beloved IP that fans are sure to anticipate. While we can't reveal too much just yet, we can promise these titles will push the boundaries of regional game development and generate some serious hype.

What will you be doing as a Mad Head?

As our Level Artist you will constructing level spaces from pre-built assets to the final visual quality based on the provided blockouts and concepts by:

  • Set dressing and polishing in levels
  • Landscape sculpting and painting, foliage painting
  • Collaborating with Level Designers and the 3D Environment Art team, and providing suggestions for them with the Art Lead to improve assets and overall scene quality
  • Managing level collisions, working with in-engine and proprietary tools

What do we expect from our ideal candidate?

  • 2+ years of experience working on a Level Artist position
  • Knowledge of the video game development pipeline
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and its tools for working with the environment (Landscape, Foliage, Modeling, Dressing)
  • An understanding of modular level construction
  • A portfolio showcasing complete levels or locations
  • Good communication skills: the ability to clearly communicate with your colleagues, in a friendly and productive manner
  • Experience with set dressing and beautification of the scenes in levels
  • Great compositional skills, with an understanding of shape, form and proportion.
  • Ability to follow the best practices and project workflows

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Previous experience in working on AAA games
  • Experience working with UE Blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of one of the 3D Software such as 3ds Max / Maya / Blender / to create additional blockouts of game assets or parts of the level.
  • Experience using Sequencer.
