Job Description

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to identify growth opportunities and propose data-driven hypotheses to improve key product metrics. The role involves measuring impact via A/B testing and causal inference, detecting anomalies, and maintaining product dashboards. Candidates should have 3+ years in analytics, with 2+ years in product analytics, strong mathematical statistics, Python/ML, SQL, and BI experience. Must Have:
  • Identify growth opportunities and propose data-driven hypotheses to improve key product metrics.
  • Help generate, prioritize, validate, and evaluate “What if…?” hypotheses.
  • Measure impact via A/B testing and causal inference techniques.
  • Detect anomalies/deviations in core metrics and flag product issues early.
  • Maintain and evolve product dashboards.
  • Focus KPIs: Installs and Local DAU.
  • 3+ years in analytics, incl. 2+ years specifically in product analytics.
  • Strong mathematical statistics: A/B testing design/analysis, alternative tests, sensitivity improvements.
  • Python/ML: data processing (API/parsing), regression, segmentation, clustering.
  • SQL: window functions, query optimization, procedures, data marts.
  • Understanding of product & marketing metrics (LTV, CPA, retention, conversion rates, etc.).
  • BI experience (Superset / Tableau / Power BI or similar).
  • Soft skills: effective communication, independence and initiative, product thinking, critical thinking, and expectation management.

We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst

Your main tasks will be:

  • Identify growth opportunities and propose data-driven hypotheses to improve key product metrics.
  • Help generate, prioritize, validate, and evaluate “What if…?” hypotheses.
  • Measure impact via A/B testing and causal inference techniques.
  • Detect anomalies/deviations in core metrics and flag product issues early.
  • Maintain and evolve product dashboards.
  • Focus KPIs: Installs and Local DAU.

We expect from you:

  • 3+ years in analytics, incl. 2+ years specifically in product analytics (e.g., from Yandex, Avito, Ozon, AI startups, Tinkoff, Revolut, Wise, Replica, Character.ai, Pure, Tinder, OnlyFans, Bumble, Grindr, Spotify, Notion, Duolingo, etc.).
  • Strong mathematical statistics: A/B testing design/analysis, alternative tests, sensitivity improvements.
  • Python/ML: data processing (API/parsing), regression, segmentation, clustering.
  • SQL: window functions, query optimization, procedures, data marts.
  • Understanding of product & marketing metrics (LTV, CPA, retention, conversion rates, etc.).
  • BI experience (Superset / Tableau / Power BI or similar).
  • Soft skills: effective communication (can “sell” results), independence and initiative, product thinking, critical thinking, and expectation management (prioritization and realistic scoping).

This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
