Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager
Job Description
- Second degree in Business Administration
- Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies
- Manage commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics)
- Set long-term vendor base strategies
- Establish and maintain robust supply chain for ICT products
- Manage costing aspects, including cost reduction opportunities
- Collaborate with R&D teams (Germany & Israel) on technology sourcing and costing
- Manage business challenges and regulatory issues
- Lead processes for product or service improvements
- University degree in Engineering or related field
- Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering or Physics)
- Minimum 7 years purchasing experience in engineering industry
- Profound experience in strategic Suppliers Management
- Strong commercial orientation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Capability to solve unique and complex supply chain problems
- Experience in leading cross-organization projects and leadership capabilities
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Willingness for international business travels (up to 25%)

To strengthen our Materials and Supply Chain team, managed by Applied Materials Israel, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d), who will support and collaborate between Applied Materials Israel and Applied Materials (ICT GmbH) in Heimstetten, near Munich.
You’re eager to;
- Be a part of highly qualified engineering team, to efficiently manage the manufacturing as well as technical domain of complex modules developed by our R&D team
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Development, alignment, and implementation of commodity strategies
- Management of all commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics, etc…)
- Responsible for setting long term vendor base strategies.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust supply chain for ICT products
- Management of all costing aspects including Cost Reduction opportunities
- Working together with the R&D team (Germany & Israel) on all technology sourcing and costing aspects
- Manage business challenges as well as regulatory issues and lead processes for product or service improvements
Qualification:
- University degree in Engineering or related field of studies (second degree in Business Administration is an advantage)
- Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering or Physics or related)
- Minimum of 7 years purchasing experience in the engineering industry
- Profound experience in strategic Suppliers Management
- Strong commercial orientations, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Capability to solve unique and complex problems having a broad impact on the supply chain business
- Experience in leading cross- organization projects, leadership capabilities
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Willingness for (inter)national business travels (up to 25%)
