Job Description

Motive is seeking a Senior Software Developer for its UI team on the Battlefield Franchise. This role involves building new features and tools, establishing workflows, and collaborating with various disciplines including UX Designers and Artists. The Senior UI Programmer will contribute to a robust UI framework, develop UI tech for a live game, and design, implement, test, debug, and document high-quality C++ code, reporting to a Senior Technical Leader.
Good To Have:
  • CS degree or equivalent education.
  • An interest in UI/UX accessibility.
  • Shipped at least one AAA game.
  • Experience working on a live service game.
  • Experience with other UI systems: UMG, Unity UI, Flash, ImGui, WPF, Qt.
Must Have:
  • Contribute to a new, robust UI framework.
  • Hands-on development of UI tech and content for a live game.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers on features.
  • Design, implement, test, debug, and document high-quality C++ code.
  • Proactively identify issues and fix bugs.
  • 5+ years of professional game development experience.
  • Fluency in C/C++.
  • Excellent math skills with an emphasis on 2D math.
  • Experience with large code bases.
  • Great UI/UX design skills for intuitive user flows.

Motive is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join its UI team on the Battlefield Franchise.

As a Senior UI Programmer, you will build new features, tools and establish new workflows that allow the team to leverage their strengths. You will collaborate with a wide range of disciplines on game & engine features and work closely with our UX Designers and Artists to help fully realize their visions. You will report to a Senior Technical Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of a new, robust UI framework.
  • Hands on development of UI tech and content shipping within a live game environment.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists and other engineers on features and systems.
  • Design, implement, test, debug and document high quality C++ code.
  • Proactively identify issues and fix bugs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience of professional game development.
  • Fluency in C/C++.
  • Excellent math skills with an emphasis on 2D math.
  • Experience with large code bases.
  • Great UI/UX design skills regarding intuitive and clear user flows.
