Job Description

As a Senior Workplace Services Coordinator at Rockstar Games, you will be a key part of the Workplace Services Team, coordinating the day-to-day operations of the site and its facilities services. This includes managing services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and overseeing projects while ensuring high standards. Responsibilities include acting as a key contact for communications, coordinating services, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently, conducting site audits, maintaining trackers, and assisting in procurement. The role requires a proactive approach and a focus on maintaining the building and facilities. You will also maintain stakeholder relationships and assist in special event coordination.
Must have:
  • 3+ years experience in Facilities or Workplace Operations.
  • Experience in overseeing service contracts.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Understanding of current safety legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Degree/diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • Experience in overlapping business support fields (IT, Administration, Operations).
  • Creative problem-solving and innovation mindset.

Rockstar San Diego is on the lookout for a talented Workplace Services Coordinator. As part of the Workplace Services Team, you will provide key coordination of the day-to-day operation of the site and its facilities services.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Workplace Services Team (WPS) is responsible for ensuring the workplace, building, facilities, and services work harmoniously together to support the core business.
  • We create a creative, supportive, and safe working environment for the staff at Rockstar.
  • We manage and develop both a variety of services and programs, including building maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and space utilization and strategy.
  • We ensure the site complies with all relevant guidance and legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a key point of contact for communications with the WPS team, reporting and prioritizing any issues, performing work or engaging contractors if required, tracking and managing the tasks to resolution.
  • Coordinating services and trades such as repairs and maintenance, plant vendor, furniture delivery, etc.
  • Ensuring issues are proactively found, allocated, prioritized, and fixed with efficiency.
  • Coordinating, planning, and executing designated projects while ensuring all work is done to a high standard. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of Workplace Services contracts and services such as cleaning, waste and food and beverage services, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
  • Conducting checks and audits of the site and workplace services.
  • Keeping trackers and management systems up to date and produce reports. 
  • Assist with the procurement, administration and coordination of Workplace Services including coordinating team and project POs.
  • Support the management of Health and Safety and compliance within the team including writing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc duties within reason to maintain the building and facilities.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships with Landlord/Property Management teams.
  • Assist in special event coordination.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/diploma in a related discipline, or equivalent vocational education and experience. 
  • 3+ years’ experience working within a Facilities or Workplace Operations role in a corporate office environment, ideally supporting complex buildings and services.
  • Experience in overseeing service contracts.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

SKILLS

  • A good understanding of current safety legislation and best practice.
  • A detail oriented, flexible self-starter with strong initiative, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Planning and project management skills with the ability to consider things from multiple angles.
  • Process-driven and outcome-focused, always looking for quality improvement and ensuring processes are documented accurately.  
  • Capable of working autonomously, while also understanding when and where to seek guidance and approval.
  • Experience in overlapping business support fields, e.g. IT, Administration, Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Creative problem solver with a curious, innovation-driven mindset.
