Collaborate with architecture and network teams to implement AWS services like VPC, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect. Design hybrid networking strategies integrating AWS, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure for resilience. Oversee deployment and lifecycle support for hardware including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Cisco networking equipment. Configure and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Resolve complex routing and connectivity issues, conduct capacity planning, and drive automation through infrastructure-as-code.
Must have:

  • Ensure optimal performance of LAN/WAN environments and Layer 3 switching protocols.
  • Configure and enforce network security policies across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
  • Resolve complex routing and connectivity issues across multi-cloud and multi-vendor setups.
  • Conduct capacity planning and develop scalability roadmaps.
  • Partner with DevOps and Security teams to enable secure cloud-native connectivity.
  • Drive automation through infrastructure-as-code and maintain detailed network documentation and standards.
  • 5+ years of experience with Bachelor's or 3+ years with Master's, in enterprise network engineering.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud networking and hybrid architectures.
  • Supported data center hardware in high-availability mission-critical environments.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting multi-account, multi-VPC AWS environments.
  • Expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and LAN technologies (STP, VLANs, HSRP, VTP).
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, and authentication protocols (TACACS+, RADIUS).
  • Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting with Palo Alto Networks (Panorama, threat prevention, VPNs).
  • Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, SSL offloading).
  • Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst/Meraki switches and routers and Cisco Meraki infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
  • Excellent communicator with a passion for technology.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
  • Reside in or within commuting distance to Malvern, PA.

Job Details

Your role:

  • Collaborating with architecture and network teams to implement AWS services like VPC, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect. Designing hybrid networking strategies integrating AWS, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure for resilience and continuity.
  • Overseeing the deployment and lifecycle support for hardware including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Cisco networking equipment. Ensuring optimal performance of LAN/WAN environments and Layer 3 switching protocols.
  • Configuring and enforces network security policies across cloud and on-prem environments. Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST through secure architecture and monitoring.
  • Resolving complex routing and connectivity issues across multi-cloud and multi-vendor setups. Conducting capacity planning and develops scalability roadmaps to meet evolving business needs.
  • Partnering with DevOps and Security teams to enable secure cloud-native connectivity. Driving automation through infrastructure-as-code and maintains detailed network documentation and standards.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience with Bachelor's or 3+ years with Master's, in enterprise network engineering. You have expertise in AWS cloud networking and hybrid architectures, and have supported data center hardware in high-availability mission-critical environments.
  • areas such as System Architecture, System Design, Hardware Engineering or equivalent.
  • Your skills include:
  • Proven experience designing and supporting multi-account, multi-VPC AWS environments with enterprise-scale security and connectivity requirements.
  • Expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and LAN technologies (STP, VLANs, HSRP, VTP). Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, and authentication protocols (TACACS+, RADIUS).

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role. Local and domestic travel expected up to 20%.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Malvern, PA is $123,000 to $196,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
