Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a Supervisor, Hospitality & Events to deliver operational excellence and a holistic guest experience for various events, including executive receptions, partner events, nonprofit events, and employee engagement. This role involves leading the planning and execution of meetings, managing logistics for corporate events, and supporting global programs. The supervisor will also manage vendor relationships, ensure brand consistency, and maintain event documentation, contributing to Salesforce's mission as the #1 AI CRM.
Must Have:

  • 5+ years of event management experience in B2B, high-tech, or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Experience managing budgets, including financial planning and tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to negotiate demands.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Flexibility to work in-office during weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver operational excellence and a holistic guest experience across a variety of events, including executive receptions, partner events, nonprofit events, and employee engagement events.
  • Lead the planning and execution of meetings, including simple meetings, and support complex, multi-day, multi-space executive programs.
  • Manage logistics for customer-facing meetings, town halls, and other corporate events, including pre-event planning, onsite execution, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Support various Global & AMER-related programs and projects.
  • Support ticket triage as needed, manage Slack communications, and executive recap reporting for complex programs.
  • Provide operational support for the ‘Ohana Floor event space and related programming.
  • Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging by understanding Salesforce’s brand and product positioning.
  • Maintain and update team documentation and event playbooks to support process improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Research, recommend, and report on innovative and creative event options and entertainment within program format and budget constraints.
  • Co-manage vendor relationships (agencies, vendors, caterers, etc.) and collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Creative, Facilities, Employee Engagement, and Salesforce.org.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors for goods and services to maximize budget efficiency.
  • Execute on special projects or programs as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful event management experience planning customer-centric events in a B2B, high-tech, or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a highly personable, service-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of expertise and minimal oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to proactively address client needs.
  • Experience managing budgets, including financial planning and tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to creatively negotiate demands and resolve challenges.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage workload effectively in a strict, deadline-driven environment.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting and adept at overcoming obstacles.
  • Flexibility to work in-office during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, adjusting hours as needed to support events.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,800 to $122,100.
