Apex Legends is looking for a Technical Experience Designer to join us in expanding the Apex Universe at our growing location in Madison, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Lead Technical Experience Designer, you will work in a team to help prototype, implement and debug player-facing UI features in Apex Legends.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the UI team to help implement player-facing features that align with gameplay goals and accessibility standards

• Write functional UI script that aligns with technical best practices

• Work with UX designers and UI artists to stand up prototypes and implement pixel-perfect layout and animation

• Refine features based on feedback, design requirements, and creative direction

• Work with producers and directors to help estimate and prioritize work

Requirements:

• Some experience with scripting languages (such as Lua, Python, JavaScript, or similar)

• Experience with UI/UX

• An eye for polish

• A collaborative and inclusive attitude with the ability to listen, ask questions, and learn

• An understanding of UX principles, layout, motion, and visual fidelity

• Located near or willing to relocate near Madison, WI

Nice To Have:

• Game development experience

• Utilize C++

• Experience with large code bases

• Experience with UI frameworks: UMG, Unity UI, Coherent, Scaleform, ImGui, WPF, Qt

• Experience working in a multiplayer live service environment

• Experience with accessibility and developing inclusive player experiences
